I worked for Ronnie as his PA in South Ayrshire Council. He was a great boss and friend. Ronnie made everyone in the department feel like family. We all worked had and played hard. Ronnie chose a charity every year and we held fundraisers. Over the years we raised a lot of money mostly due to Ronnie's enthusiasm and dedication. I am glad I knew him. Xx

It’s at times like these that we hate to be so far away. The memories we have of Ronnie could l a book by themselves. Iain of course knew Ronnie through the football before we all ended up married and living in Uddingston. Then when we were in Stoke Ronnie & Beth came down for the weekend. We drove to London where the boys of course went to the Cup Final and Beth and I went to the shops.. Memorably we were driving in London traffic and somebody was trying to sneakily overtake us on the inside. Ronnie rolled down his window and of things said to the guy “ Git” to which the reply came “Ya what Mate?” He was Git Sheed for a wee while after that.
Fast forward the years and the Sheeds and Munros spent so many happy times together raising our families in Uddingston and enjoying many parties, barbecues and New Years together while the kids were growing up.
When Ronnie had his heart attack Iain would spend time with him and they’d go for wee trips into Glasgow. We called them Jack & Victor’s big days out! Not quite sure who was who.
Then when we moved to the States and the girls were coming to visit Beth & Ronnie looked after the dog. He never professed to being a dog lover but Rocky attached himself to him whether he liked it or not. I think, like all of us he knew Ronnie was a big softie at heart.
Many years ago when I worked in the East end of Glasgow they had a saying:- “ it’s a bad yin that’s no’ missed”. Well, Ronnie Sheed will definitely be missed - by many and for a long time. X
