In loving memory of Elizabeth 'Lizi' Jackson, who passed away on 25th June 2018, at just 23 years of age.

Lizi was a forthright, determined, free-spirited person, who loved travel, music, art and nature.

She made many friends wherever she went, and her smile would light up the hearts of all around her.

She also loved, and was loved by, her two younger siblings - her brother Alex, and her half-sister Alison.

She will be much missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Please note that the funeral will be a humanist celebration of Lizi's life and the dress code is bright and colourful, no black or dark colours.
Family flowers only and donations can be made using the links on this page.

I still can’t comprehend that you’re gone, it’s left me completely heartbroken. I think about you everyday and although there happy thoughts I still get a sinking feeling in my stomach.
I remember the first time I ever laid my eyes on you, you were sat in the canteen eating twiglets and laughing, you looked so cool and I really wanted to be friends with you.
We didn’t just become friends we became best firsts, you rode the waves me with whilst I struggled in my life, despite you having your struggles too. For that I’ll always be internally grateful, you understood me better than anyone else.
It’s not fair that you’re gone but there is nothing I can do to change that, I hope that wherever you are you’re having the most amazing time girl. I hope you have peace and happiness and that there is no suffering like there is in this world.
You are so beautiful, and that face of yours will never leave my memory. Rest easy, I love you x

I remember those first holidays when we all went away together to the Lake District. Climbing away from the car park into the hills feeling your weight in the harness on my back. Your fingers pulling my hair as you tried to turn my face around to talk. We laughed and sang songs until you fell asleep. Your face nuzzled in my neck we would find a pub for tea. Your Dad and I would drink beer watching you wrapped up in jumpers asleep in a chair.

You brought so much happiness and made so much laughter. I’ll always remember how proud you looked in your high chair after covering your Mum in cough medicine thanks to a well timed sneeze.

Every birthday and Christmas you opened my presents for me and paid me back by reading me stories eventually. Tough and feisty I remember the storm when you crawled under the duvet and slept curled up next to me - a rare moment of vulnerability.

I watched you struggle to work out who you were and what you stood for. The presents changed from pink plastic to perfume funding clean water in the third world. The hair changed - a lot but inside it was always the same Lizi. The beliefs grew stronger the honesty a little more direct but you grew into your skin and that was an amazing journey to watch.

I will aslways remember Elizabeth’s infectious smile as she walked in the house to come play with Rosie, and Lucy for the day . When it was time to say goodbye in the evening they would all run around giggling and being very silly , this was happy hour . I am been fortunate enough to have these memories, and will cherish them forever . Your star will shine bright Elizabeth x love and thoughts to Karen, Alex, and family x

We have great memories of our childhood with Elizabeth, we always had so much fun. I remember we used to look out the window and see her coming towards our house and jump around with excitement. Such a sad loss, our hearts go out to all of the family xxx
