In loving memory of Philip Wood who sadly passed away on 19th June 2018.

Those of you who knew Phil and had the pleasure of spending time with him will know what a gentleman he was. I’ve lost my best friend and my soul mate leaving a huge hole in my life and those of my children.

Cancer took him away from me and no one should be made to suffer like he did... please help raise awareness and money for this awful illness.

Phil suffered with Liver Cancer and unless caught early when it usually doesn’t show symtoms it can be very hard to beat... we thought we had so much longer together but 6 months after diagnoses he lost his brave battle. He was my Hero and will always remain my Hero in the stars and my heart. 💚💜💙

I was a Toolmaker apprentice at BAe Weybridge. In 1979 as a 17 year old Phil took me under his wing. He was a great teacher and friend to me. What a lovely man.
I hate that disease. See you again one day my friend.

  • Dear Jayne. I have only just started seeing a wonderful woman who by coincidence knew Phil from McClaren. I was telling her some Funny stories about my friend and with great shock she told me about Phil. I know it is only a small comfort but I would like to donate in memory of your wonderful man. I am so sorry Jayne. Kind regards Stuart

We thank Phil so very much for the love and care he gave to our daughter Jane, granddaughter's Erin and Grace and being part of their lives. It's so very sad that Liver Cancer took him away from them after only six years together. A lovely special man who's memory of him will never fade in our hearts.

Phil was a lovely gentle kind man, every Monday we would talk about our weekend and put the world to write I remember Phil telling me about your trip to the races and how excited he was about getting picked up in a nice posh car we always ended our chats in the morning with a quick chuckle and then go on with our day Phil was a very private man but he did console in me about his illness I kept his wish and never Told a sole
He always remained positive and he never complained
he will be missed
Phil woods RIP
