I’m leaving this message, on behalf of some people who Ben looked up to when he was at Trent College. Ben was a Hanbury boy. He was a couple of years below us in school but not annoying like the rest. I was privelaged to be in Hanbury and the head of House, George Lamb gives his condolences.
At the time, Hanbury wa the place to be. I have confirmed condolences from George Lamb, Spencer Stevenson, Martin Hunt, Martin Balfour. I’m adding Jonathan Dunn and Harjit Atwal and Ewan Walton.

Beaky thanks so much for making going to work so much more fun, you were always there bright and early with your paper ready for the day ahead, perhaps with a flat white and if it was a Friday a cheeky trip to the Welly was always a must. RIP dear friend.

As soon as I joined Carlsberg, joined the sausage run team and listened to your daily banter that the Telegraph offered I new you were a special chap. No matter the length of your commute the smile you had always brought when you arrived in the office was infectious. Karaoke king, king of Tetley and the king of a Smurf outfit !! Many happy memories, many laughs and many people are honoured to have known you ! RIP champ x

To the Beeston Bullet! So glad they made an ale in your name, maybe it was all the leftover Tetley World Championship Ale (TWAC as we called it) that you overproduced!:-) You were an amazing guy who always saw the funny side of life! I'll meet you in the bar upstairs when I'm done down here. Take care & RIP xxx
