It's been five year I'm now 13 and I never really knew my grandad but I'm sad that he didn't make it long enough for me to know him properly

I wonder if this Frank Angel was related to my Grandmother, Fanny Angel, who lived in Plymouth Road, Penarth and whose husband was also Frank. I have a letter from him to my mother, shortly after her marriage.

So sorry to hear about Frank's passing. He will be in my thoughts and prayers tonight, as will Glen and the family. You were a true gentleman and I'll miss you on the allotments. Rest in Peace, my old friend.

Frank, a dedicated handsome, thoughtful, kind and loving Grandfather to my two oldest, Jemma and Adam. His smile and warmth really did light up a room and his laugh was infectious. He laughed, you laughed. Known to me for many things, one being a great plumber that would sort my cooker and water leaks! Only person I would trust to sort it out! Frank was full of stories, especially about his allotment. Adam loved disappearing with his grandad over there and helping out from a young age. Jemma was so proud to have him and Glen at her graduation. He looked so proud and happy. I remember his many cars and how he would offer around his worther original sweets if gave us a lift somewhere. This became something I would buy him most Christmases! Never knew Frank to have anything negative to say about anyone and he was always so kind and welcoming, pleased to see you. I'm going to miss knowing he isn't around in person. I'm going going to miss my children being able to visit him. But for all the family and friends, he will be around in spirit and lives on through you all. A true Angel. Thank you for being a part of our lives and being so jolly xxx
