In loving memory of Maralyne RICHES who sadly passed away on 30th July 2018. Much loved by all her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.

Born 15th March 1954 to Alan and Beryl Lawn, she was the youngest sister to Andrea and Michael. The story goes Alan went to register the birth and couldn't spell, hence the unusual spelling of Maralyne!

Married in 1973 and had 4 children; Yvonne, Jonathan, Kathryn and Helen.

Grandmother to Lucy, Jack, Emily, Thomas, Mia and Sascha.

Enjoyed holidays in many countries, enjoyed life and always made people smile. Made friends wherever she went, having lived her later years in Allerton, Scarborough, Stanford-le-Hope, Denholme and Hessle.

Maz was a very funny lady we had lots of laughs when I stopped over at their house, she was also a very good cook, we had lots of lovely meals. She was very kind hearted, but in the six years I've known her I saw a very sad and unhappy side to her, but always came up smiling. Loved her lots. Edna xxx See you soon Maz

Once she offered me an opportunity to buy a virtual reality headset with money that was saved up. I said no but she insisted. The headset cost hundreds so I said spend it on yourself. She always wanted to make people happy. The funny part is when she ended up buying a scooter. She was making me happy by making me see her in a happy and joyful mood! I will always remember her xx
