In loving memory of Maralyne RICHES who sadly passed away on 30th July 2018. Much loved by all her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.

Born 15th March 1954 to Alan and Beryl Lawn, she was the youngest sister to Andrea and Michael. The story goes Alan went to register the birth and couldn't spell, hence the unusual spelling of Maralyne!

Married in 1973 and had 4 children; Yvonne, Jonathan, Kathryn and Helen.

Grandmother to Lucy, Jack, Emily, Thomas, Mia and Sascha.

Enjoyed holidays in many countries, enjoyed life and always made people smile. Made friends wherever she went, having lived her later years in Allerton, Scarborough, Stanford-le-Hope, Denholme and Hessle.

Maz was a very funny lady we had lots of laughs when I stopped over at their house, she was also a very good cook, we had lots of lovely meals. She was very kind hearted, but in the six years I've known her I saw a very sad and unhappy side to her, but always came up smiling. Loved her lots. Edna xxx See you soon Maz

Once she offered me an opportunity to buy a virtual reality headset with money that was saved up. I said no but she insisted. The headset cost hundreds so I said spend it on yourself. She always wanted to make people happy. The funny part is when she ended up buying a scooter. She was making me happy by making me see her in a happy and joyful mood! I will always remember her xx

My memories of Auntie Maralyne are fond ones. I remember her looking after me and playing at her house when I was a kid. I think my dislike for fruit comes from the time I was eating a plum at her house and found half a worm inside :)

Always willing to help others and keep in touch. I can't really believe she is gone.

Dave & Sheryl Morrow donated £10.50 in memory of Maralyne

We only had Maralyne in our lives for a few months and loved her so much but will be with us forever in our hearts and until we meet up again. So glad our paths met.

Although it is a sad message this is my only chance to say thank you I was informed as I did not expect somebody would tell me. I am not able to come over for the funeral, but will be with you in my mind. Maralyne is unforgetable. Liked laughing and joking and a good friend although far away. She was one of those few ringing and made us not feel alone in big sorrow. She was always talking about her hope and showing strong faith in what our great god promised. When I talked to her on the phone for the last time she was so convinced this system would end very soon. And now she had to go before it came. But I am looking forward to see her again in good health and happy in paradise. And how happy will she be if those whom she loved most might change their mind and be there too! Long time ago I heard her saying, she is looking forward to that, she never gave up that hope. Goodbye Maralyne, see you again there...
