In loving memory of Barbara Gladys Armstrong who sadly passed away on 5th August 2018 aged 93 years.

Barbara was born Tuesday, 7th July 1925 in Graves End, Kent. Her mother ( a widow) was a cook and house keeper in large houses, so Barbara moved around a lot in her childhood as accommodation came with the job. She lived in various areas including Kingston, Richmond and Surbiton. She had various jobs but the main one she seem to talk about was working for Leyland Motors in the office where she made many friends, One of them being her life long friend Jean. Barbara married Harry on 17th March 1951 in Norbiton and they had 63 happy years of marriage, three children & two granddaughters.
Barbara had a great sense of humour, loved reading, was very creative and was also a big animal lover.
She had good friends and family that she and Harry traveled the world with in their retirement years. Barbara held very fond memories of those days she shared with Charlie & Joan, John & Barbara, Don & Great, Dolly & Fred.
Barbara was a very strong individual who always put her family first, she will be greatly missed and remembered with love in our hearts and a smile on our face.

A lovely lady who looked after me on so many occasions. I have often thought about Barbara, especially after the enjoyable and fun chat we had just last year.
