Sorry to miss your funeral Jo. Hope I haven't been too close. Pity we didn't get to have a chat. Didn't realise you liked Formula 1 as well it explains a lot.

I'm so sorry I couldn't attend your funeral today, Joe, but I'm very glad it is such a beautiful, sunny day for such a beautiful soul. I will remember you in the way I always knew you to be...smiling, with that cheeky giggle and kind heart. It's over 30 years ago since I first met you in The Costers. Happy days full of great laughs and good times. I hope wherever you are now that you are having the good times you deserve. I bet you and our dear Pete had a cracking reunion! So sad that this world has lost you and absolutely gutted for your family.Thinking of you all so much and sending all my love. Rest in peace my lovely friend. Xxxx

It’s such sad news. Joe was a very kind person and I only have very fond memories of him. When we were about 12 or 13 he offered me his Kit Kat at break time if i’d be friends with him. I agreed and it was a very wise decision. I’ve been hopeless at staying in touch so I already missed him. My thoughts are with you Joe, and your family.

I had only recently met Joe but he was an awesome guy and I genuinely enjoyed our chats in the kitchen and on the train after meetings. He was an incredibly interesting man. Such horrible news to hear about his passing. Thinking of his family
