David Wallace Henderson has passed away at home in Gobowen after suffering complications from a heart valve replacement in April
David was brought home in early August to receive palliative care as his condition was inoperable. This allowed us to have some valuable time with David and amongst other things we were able to discuss his wishes for his funeral.
We have decided to hold a fairly low key cremation ceremony at Pentrebychan Crematorium near Wrexham at 9:30 on Thursday 30th August. This will be a short service with only a few words said
We are then holding a larger celebration at the Oswestry Cricket club on Thursday 30th August. Here much more of David’s life, loves and wishes will be celebrated in a mini beer festival atmosphere. The doors to the venue will be open from 15:00 with the main celebration starting at 16:00.
Everyone is welcome to both services but we would suggest if you can only make one that you come to the later celebration in Oswestry.
We would like any donations people would like to leave to go to the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Charity.

I'll raise a glass to your memory David - lots of meetups over the years, mostly around SSRG, and almost always including beer, and quite often including curry, and once including famous folk singer Roy Bailey, who you booked for an SSRG annual dinner. In fact I'll raise several glasses over the years to come.
