Peacefully in St Benedict’s Hospice on August 28th aged 85 years, David (Dave). The beloved husband to Shirley (nee Johnson) A much loved dad to David and Carol and a dear father-in-law to Julia and Ben. A devoted grandad to Gary, Gavin, Matthew, Andrew and Edward and a loving great grandad. Also a loving brother, uncle, cousin and a dear friend to many. Friends please meet on Tuesday 4th September for service in St Aidan’s Church, Grangetown at 10:45am. Committal to follow in Sunderland Crematorium. All are welcome afterwards to the Rosedene for refreshments. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers to St Benedict’s Hospice. A donation box will be provided at the church.
