To my Mum and best friend. I love you. I miss you. Thank you for everything you have ever done for me and my family. I couldn’t have wished for better parents than you and Dad. No one can imagine the hurt I feel now you’re not here. Give Dad a kiss from me. I know you will feel whole again now you and Dad are together. Love you both to the moon and back xxx

I will always remember Beryl as a kind, warm and loving mum. She had a smile and a joke for everyone and always made me feel welcome in your home, along with your dad of course. She put up with us rampaging teenagers in her home at your parties with such good grace. I always thought she was the coolest mum ever for letting you go and see Duran Duran, I wasn’t allowed as it was probably a school night!!!
