In loving memory of Ethel 'Tet' Young who sadly passed away on 3rd September 2018. The dearly loved wife of the late Al Young, dear mum of Philip, Steven, and Jill, and step-mum of Michael, also, a much-loved grandma and granny great.

My Granny Great, singularly irreplaceable, leaves to me so much for which I am thankful. Looking back, I have a wealth of memories that she shared of her long and rich life. Particularly I am put in mind of her vivid stories from her travelling and especially her days in Edinburgh during the Second World War; she often proudly recounted to me the day she met the Queen Mother. These stories I shall always treasure. Above all, however, in her unwavering love and faith in me, she has instilled a courage in me that I am immensely grateful for. Throughout a childhood and adolescence filled with regular visits, my Granny Great was a remarkable woman who has enriched my life and shall be dearly missed.

My mum faced hardship and grief but nothing held her back, she loved us fiercely, Fate whispers to the warrior " You cannot withstand the storm" The warrior whispered back " I am the storm" I miss you x

Her smiling way and pleasant face
Are a pleasure to recall
She had a kindly word for each
And she died beloved by all.
Some day we hope to meet her
Some day we know not when
To clasp her hand in the better land
Never to part again.
Sleep tight Tet back in the arms of Albany xxx
