In loving memory of Ian Michael Hoggan who sadly passed away on 6th September 2018.

Ian was born and raised in Lower Bemerton in Salisbury. He was the 3rd child to Margaret and Richard Hoggan, and their 2nd son.
He attended local schools, and went on to do a motor mechanical apprenticeship at Anna valley motors. Although Ian loved anything with an engine, filthy hands and bending over cars was not his ideal job, so he left to do other things.
Ian worked for a while at Pains Wessex building man overboard flares, and had a good few years as a delivery driver for Russell and Harris electricals, driving all around Wiltshire and neighbouring counties, sometimes further, and even into Europe.
He started work at Qinetiq in 2001, firstly as a ground handler, towing aircraft into and out of hangars, refuelling, and strapping in pilotts. He loved this job, so was heartbroken when it ended, but he was moved over to Environmental test facilities at Qinetiq, where he worked upto last December, when he was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer, and told he had only months to live.
Ian had been married to Barbara Williams (nee Dean) in 1986, but they divorced in 2012.
Ian had remarried in November 2017, to Diane Richards, whom he met as a neighbour in 2006, when he and Barbara had moved to Barnes Wallis Close, in Boscombe Down.
Although Ian and Barbara never wanted children, Ian inherited 2 step daughters, Judy and Louise Richards from Diane's previous marriage.
Ian will be sadly missed by all his friends, family and neighbours, especially as he had such a wicked sense of humour. He was passionate about his opinions and beliefs, being a staunch atheist and vegetarian. He was a member of Green Peace, and PETA ( peoople's ethical treatment of animals )
His wish was for only family flowers, but any donations to be divided between the Cats protection charity, and The Stars appeal, for Salisbury District Hospital, where he was treated. And Ian's request was for colourful clothing to be worn at his wake.
