Continue to Rest in Peace - Pastor Peter George William Marchand.

We have lost a rare Gem in Pastor Peter Marchand…..our lost is Heaven’s gain!
For Pastor Peter, we thank God for a life well spent. Even though we are sad today, we take solace in the fact that we shall see Pastor Peter again in eternity!

Pastor Peter was a respected man of God, not only within his congregation at The VOICE, but he was also well respected among the comity of Ministers of God and in the community generally.
Even as we grief his departure from this world, our heart gladdens in the knowledge that he has gone to be with the Lord! Our heart goes out to the family he left behind, especially aunty Gill his lovely wife, his children and grandchild. My family and I join you all to mourn the demise of this illustrious personality and great man of God!

We would be less than honest if we said that our hearts have not ached over this situation. However, we are trusting God that He will minister to our hearts at this time, and give us strength as we continue in our walk with Him. It is our human nature to want to ask questions and understand everything now, but FAITH and TRUST requires that we lean and rely heavily on God even when things seem unclear. Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding”. Philippians 4:7 – And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your heart and minds through Christ Jesus”.

For the loss of Pastor Peter, we shall cry and express our emotions. Emotions are God-given. They are part of who we are. After all, Jesus Himself said, “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted”. (Matthew 5:4) Tears are the safest-valve that God built into us to help us at times like these. It’s ok to cry! But today we shall rise above this and focus on the great service Pastor Peter rendered in the world before his passing into eternity. It is said that, “The measure of a life is not in its duration but in its donation”!

The day Pastor Peter died was his coronation day in heaven, when he was received back home by our Lord Jesus Christ!

Contrary to what we would have liked, Pastor Peter boarded an earlier flight home, but one day we will still share a common destination in heaven! His race ended earlier than we anticipated, but we still have our own race to run, and we pray that we all run a successful race to heaven, as we give our very best for the kingdom of God.

My wife and I will deeply miss you, Pastor Peter! But we rejoice this day that you are now with our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

ADIEU Pastor Peter George William Marchand!

Sleep on, dear father in the Lord, until we meet to part no more!!!

Peter & Veronica Adetoye.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing away of Peter as God did not want him to suffer any more pain. He has finished his race and he has been promoted to glory. You and all of us has a blessed hope that one day we will meet him clothed with glory. We had the privilege of knowing him and working with him on his visits to India. We remember many happy times in India with him and even after that with contacts between our two families.

May God comfort you, strengthen you and keep you as you move on. Our prayers are with you.

He was a man of faith, dedicated to serving the Lord, friend to so many... he had a heart for mission. He had great memory, remembering most of the people in IVM especially children by name, He was a person who could relate to anyone—both young and old, and he blessed the lives of so many here in India. We do not have words to say how much we owe to him for all his love, encouragement and blessings to IVM.

Today we mourn his loss and we are sad but we also celebrate his life for all his contribution and for being such a blessing to us.... A godly servant has run the race and won the prize and today heaven will be rejoicing as God tells him, "well done good and faithful servant, come into my rest. Rest in Peace Peter.”
