In loving memory of Terry Swinney who sadly passed away on 26th September 2018
Terry was born on the 3rd July 1954 the only son to Corry and Denis Swinney and the youngest child. Terry had two sisters, Marina the eldest then Anne. Terry had what I would call a normal upbringing, the family were working class. When Terry left school he went to work as a trainee furrier and was with the same company for nearly fifteen years. The company closed when the antifur brigade put a stop to the fur trade. He was then out of work for about 2 years. He did a year at college studying gardening. He applied for a job at St James Park, London and was taken on as a temporary maintenance worker, which then became permanent after several years. He loved the time he spent at St James Park and made some very good friends. He was sad to leave when his illness took over.

Terry was a very kind and considerate person, who loved life, whenever you met Terry he had a big smile on his face and always had time to chat and have a joke, he had a wicked sense of humour. He loved football and would support whichever team was the underdog. But his real loves were Chelsea whom he supported from a young lad and MK Dons.

Terry also loved to draw and would spend hours with pencil and paper sketching away. I,am sure many of you will have received at some time a sketch as a Christmas or Birthday card.

Terry was a fantastic father, super son, brilliant brother, unique uncle and fabulous friend and colleague. His greatest achievement was the birth of his daughter Sarah, who he adored.

I dont want to go on too much about my memories, as I am sure each and every one of you will have your own special memories of Terry.

Terry will be sadly missed by all.
