Peacefully in hospital on November 7th aged 79 years, Ivan. The dearly loved husband of Gwyneth. The devoted dad of Susan and father in law of Ian. The beloved grandad of Jane-Louise, Chris, Nathan and Emma. The treasured great grandad of Layton and Alannah. A dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a friend to all. Friends please meet on Friday November 16th for service in Durham Crematorium at 3pm. All are welcome afterwards to the British Legion for refreshments. No flowers. Donations in lieu of flowers will be kindly received for the Macmillan Nurses Sunderland. A collection box will be provided at the crematorium. Grandad, you were my Idol. You taught me so much and were always there when I needed you. We shared so many good times and I couldn’t have wished for a better Grandad. I know how overjoyed you were to become a great grandad to Layton and Alannah and you continued to be a big part of their lives. You will be greatly missed by us all.
