An amazing midwife who supported so many of us through the hard times of the profession. Barbara was an example to us all on how to live life to its full. Despite her challenges over the last few years she was still laughing and smiling. That is how I will remember her - ever so slightly wacky and fun.

She'll be missed by so many.

I had the pleasure of working with Barbara at Hinchingbrooke where her contribution was much appreciated and her clinical insights were incredibly helpful to clinical audit. She was always fair, fun, kind, strong and helpful. We kept in touch. It was a joy to know her. Bless her.

Barbara was such a dear and fun friend to be with on holidays and at all other times, she was loved by everybody including myself. I already miss her terrible. Her illness fought to the last, such a courageous and brave person. May she rest in peace God bless. Xx

Barbara and I met at the card making group where we were the new girls. She had a comical answer to everything, Barbara entertained us most weeks. Outside of that we did Kilworth with Jan and Mavis twice a year. Had many happy holidays, to say she will be missed is an understatement. I feel privileged to have had her as a friend. A lovely lady who was and still is loved by many, may she rest in peace.

I shall miss her. A very good friend and was part of my family. I have so many memories of her both as a midwife and a friend. It has also been a privilege to help and support her through her illness. Brave and courageous and lived life to the full. She is now at peace xxx
