Fantastic guy, without doubt A1 Landlord who was a grafter and with Dosh kept a wonderful, typical village pub. First met him when he took over the Station, and them the H & G. Was a good friend,
Loved a joke, and put in a few words, was a Super Guy. Will miss the ol bugger loads. Thoughts with
Dosh, Emily and Family.

A Landlord and a friend, providing quality banter and beer upon every visit. I recall us all leaving the Station in Fancy dress for my 21st, filling the beer garden at the Horse for the start of my Stag night and so many Birthday celebrations. He ran a pub you would always take a visiting friend to, knowing good beer would be imbibed. Simon was a consistent element in my life and will be so sadly missed. My thoughts are now with his family. Cheers Fella!

Such a perfect gentleman and pub landlord. Cared for people, remembered every round no matter how many people were with us. My dad said "You've got a brilliant landlord there" and then said people miss such people when they move on. I think everyone who went to that pub feels that. I loved him yodelling "time" or "playing drums" on the bar. Or taking the mickey out of Paul and I in "library" corner. Mind how you go Simon. We miss you but you will always be part of the memories of the Horse and Groom xxx
