Visiting Jayne and John at Inkersall in 1976 changed my life forever and I will be forever grateful to them for their support and kindness over the years. John always had a good word for everyone - as many have said , a real gentleman. He worked tremendously hard for Gordon Setters in many respects from opening up Inkersall to field trial training days to getting the first hip schemes going. Inkersall Gordons have been tremendously influential and without exception were always famous for their beautiful temperaments. Rest in Peace John - you will never be forgotten.

John, you were so much part of my growing up, introducing me to bee keeping and point to pointing, an usher at our wedding and a great friend. Such great memories. Condolences to Jayne, Keith, David and families.

We have very fond memories of John, some of my early Gordon memories are of going to Inkersall Lodge when Mum and Dad went to the training days. I don't think I ever attended a show when John and Jayne were there and didn't chat to them. Always interested in everyone and had time to chat. John was a true gentleman and will be very fondly remembered by all Gordoners. Thoughts with Jayne and family. Kathryne Wrigley Kattandale Gordons

We knew John and his wife Jayne from the early 1980s John was always the gentleman and such a huge source of information on Gordon's in the ring and in field trials. It's not possible to say enough in praise of this great man. We were privileged to call him friend.
Sincere condolences to Jayne and the family xxx

John and Jayne played a most important part in my llife - I am most thankful for their belief in me. Unfortunately 3 years ago I was advised that both of you had passed by an English judge so in a visit to the UK i ddnt seek to visit John and Jayne Jayne my my thoughts are very much withyou today Your contribution to thewonderful Gordon setter breed is outstanding - i would say no one has contributed more Whenever i judged Inkersall Gordons impressed as always reflecting the correct Conformation and Character and of course i will never forget the perfect Inkersall Cedar All my love Jayne - regards to to all of your family Bob Lott --- Adelaide South AUSTRALIA
