A privilege to have been in Sea Scouts with you for so many years when you were my Scout Leader, and latterly to have worked alongside you at Roots Hall when you were still looking out for us all, through your voluntary work with St John. To Leigh Town Council he was integral in Council and Town life having played a major part over the years in the organisation of Leigh Lights. He was a regular visitor to the Community Centre and a friend to all the Town Council staff.
