Amanda lived a very active life, she loved sports and the great outdoors, being a member of the Matlock Baileans hockey club, a black belt in karate and she also loved to run and take long hikes with her husband Tim & her two precious sons, William and George. As well as sporting activities she helped out twice a week in the classrooms at The Green Infants school in South Normanton, a school which she herself had attended as a child, which she enjoyed so much.

Although she had a tough exterior, people who had the pleasure of getting to know her would find she was very sensitive and thoughtful. She adored her family and felt blessed that her extended family was so close knit, a fact she took huge comfort in knowing. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her, and that was many.

Amanda's Funeral is to be held at St Michael's church South Normanton (DE55 2BT) on Monday 21st of January at 11am. We respectfully ask that flowers are from family only. Should you wish to make a donation in memory of Amanda, it was Amanda's wish that donations be made to Ashgate Hospice Care who took such good care of her in her final weeks. She was so grateful for the kindness they showed her and would be so happy to give something back in supporting them. Donations can be made via this obituary page or a collection box will be located at the funeral service. Immediately following the church service at St Michael's, family only will attend a short cremation ceremony but everyone is welcome to please join us at the Postmill Centre South Normanton (DE55 2EJ) to celebrate Amanda's life and share in your memories and stories of her.

In loving memory of Amanda Jaques who sadly passed away on 27th December 2018 aged 47.

The memories and the good times we all shared will stay with us forever. Taken too soon, A very dear friend with the kindest of hearts. Amanda will be sadly missed by all who knew her because she touched so many lives. Our thoughts are with Tim, William and George her Mum, Dad and Adrian and his family auntie Gloria and Ma-ma.

Amanda was a wonderfully, genuine person. I loved playing hockey with her, rather than against her, she enjoyed taking me out far too much!
She will be missed in all walks of life x
