In loving memory of Jean Lois Whitmore, who passed away peacefully at home at the age of 75. Jean was a devoted wife to Barry and mother to Maxine and Paul, grandma to Christopher, Nicola and Lewis, mother-in-law to Ian and Angela. Daughter of Reg and Jessie, originally from Ironville, together with sisters Kathleen and Patricia. Jean was employed at 'Boots' as an office clerk, until Maxine was born.
Jean then stayed at home and using her creative skills, turned a house into a home. Almost four years later Paul was born.
Later, Jean returned to work, having various jobs, including working at Oakes's Pipeworks at Jacksdale.
On moving to Selston, Jean worked as the manageress in E.T. Discounts situated in Kwik Save.
Jeans past times were gardening,knitting, cake decorating, watercolour painting and enjoying her three grandchildren.
She will be missed by many.
