Our friendship with Jan goes back many years, from when we all lived at Ivydene Close/Spencer Way, where we struck up a friendship with her and her then husband Colin. We saw her through the many sad tragic years which followed. Her losing her darling son Andrew and the subsequent leaving of her husband. She somehow managed to cope and then met Stuart and they had a lovely daughter Donna. We know that Jan suffered many years of ill health which over time gradually deteriorated. Then young Ewan was born, so again bringing light to her life, and lots of happy times with him. Rest in peace Jan you will be missed. Our hearts go out to you all, Stuart, Donna and Ewan. love Christine, Paul, Natalie and David xxxx

My sister Janet, was very special to me and although we were separated by half a world, there was never a day when we did not think of each other. During our childhood we grew up as part of an integrated family, where Jan and I had lots of fun together and spent a lot of time together during holidays. She was special , although we were in New Zealand and only visited spasmodically.
I shall miss her dearly. Luckily all my children got to meet her before she passed on.
Rest in Peace, Janny, it's been a long struggle, but hopefully you are at peace now.
