On behalf of the whole family I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended dad's funeral and made it such a special and memorable occasion. We have all been deeply touched by the many messages of sympathy and support and by the floral tributes and donations to Cancer Research UK & Dementia UK. Thank you all, again.

It's so hard to write this message for you Grandad because then I have to accept that you are gone and because it is impossible to put into words what a special grandad you were to all of your grandchildren. You are so loved. I'll cherish my memories of you forever. Memories as a child when we would gather at your house and eat endless amounts of biscuits and cakes, when you would sit for hours drawing and painting with us, the bike rides, the games in the garden and even just sitting and laughing at you've been framed together. These may seem like small things but it's the fact that you were always there for those "small things" and there for us. My memories of you as an adult are all ones filled with laughter and your lovely, big smile. Even when you were poorly, you could make me laugh and smile. I had the funniest grandad. You once said to me that you got the most visitors when you were at Braywood and you seemed so surprised. I wasn't surprised at all, Grandad. We were so lucky to have you in our lives. I will miss you lots. My clever, funny, patient and kind Grandad. I hope you are now at peace and back with Mama.
Love from Emma xxx

A dear friend for over 7 decades. Lots of memories to treasure of a true gent, kind and gentle, witty and fun to share time with, mainly over a pint or two! Will be missed more than words can say.

Linda and I extend our deepest sympathy to Pete, Lynne, Debbie and all the family he loved beyond measure - he was so proud of you all.
With love from Fran and Linda xx

I still can’t believe what has happened Dad. It is so hard to fully put into words what you mean to me as it just doesn’t seem enough. All I know is that you were the most wonderful Dad, dignified and caring right to the very end. I am so heartbroken at losing you that I feel my heart will never mend
