In loving memory of Deborah Hunton who sadly passed away on 12th March 2019.

Please feel free to wear bright colours and please no black! Mum would not have liked it!

There will be a reception at the Standard Triumph in Coventry from 1.15 after the funeral service. All those who wish to share memories of Debbie are welcome.

Mrs Hunton was my headteacher and English teacher, and inspired me to become one too. She was so kind, so engaging and encouraging. I was only just telling my husband about her this evening, thought it would be nice to email her but then found this page and learnt of her passing. Sorry for your loss.

Mrs Hunton (as I knew her) was my English teacher in the second year and 6th form in Congleton - she was a fabulous teacher and one of my best teachers. Only just found out this sad news. You never forget a good teacher and I’ll never forget Mrs Hunton!

  • Hi Sam, this is Mrs Hunton's son, Jude. I'm so grateful to you for that kind comment and the charity donation. It's really kind of you to share that memory and to hear about mum being appreciated. She loved being a teacher! Thank you.

A truly loving, kind and beautiful lady. Thank you for all of your kind words each and every time I saw you, your witty comments and the extra tight hugs you used to give. You are loved by so many and will truly be missed, but never ever forgotten. Love you always xxx

She will be remembered for the sparkle in her eyes when she talked about her sons and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her infinite ability to educate and instil a love for literature. She will be remembered for always working hard for her family. For all these gifts and qualities Deborah will remain constantly in our hearts and memories

Oh Deb such fun times, never to be forgotten, my first kiss instigated by you(what was his name) just crazy, excess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then all your support, a listening ear when things took a downturn.
Lovely, funny lady, I can hear your laugh as I write.
How did you get that headship, let alone inspector. You decided to wear shoes I guess!!
So for now it's au revoir, but never out of mind.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

We always had good times and my first kiss was down to you hitching me up with the lad. It didn't last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your laugh was infectious, I can hear it as I write. Your no shoes policy was frowned upon. But you did it anyway. We never understood how you got to be a head let alone an inspector?????????????????
Unconventional and b....y minded to the end. Yet cousin, how I wanted to be like you.
Try not to rock the boat now, and finally rest. Love and just the funniest memories always.xxx

For Debbie. You never lost your style, grace, dignity, humour or sense of the absurd. I miss your friendship and the world is truly a duller place without you.

I will always cherish the many fond memories I have of Debbie and will greatly miss her presence in my life. My heartfelt condolences go out to Jude and Jake who have lost such a devoted mother, and am sorry you both have to live with the void Debbie's passing has left.
