Thomas (Tom) Irvine (27 Oct 1925 - 3 Apr 2019)

Tom died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday April 3rd 2019 at Guthrie House, Edinburgh, aged 93 years. Loving husband of Isabel, father to John and Mary, father in law to Maureen and a loving grandad to Dorothy, Claire, David, Lisa, Sarah and Gregor. After a career in Scottish local government finance (in Dunbar, Forfar, Galashiels and Selkirk), Tom worked as a member of the Accounts Commission based in Edinburgh before he retired in 1985. Funeral service in Palmerston Place Church, Edinburgh at 1pm on Friday 19th April 2019 thereafter at Warriston Crematorium, Cloister Chapel at 2.30pm. Family and friends are cordially invited to either or both services. Family flowers only please but donations for Alzheimer’s Scotland would be gratefully received at the Church/Crematorium.
