I knew Ian only as part of the UKATC flight simulator community. I'm not a regular or frequent participant but Ian never failed to greet me like an old friend. Always ready with a kind word or helpful advice, he was a pleasure to know. Thank you Ian.

I worked with Ian for the best part of 20 years and both respected him as a colleague and valued him as a friend. I shall miss his dry sense of humour. Rest in peace.

Ian will be sorely missed at the Whitbread get-togethers and the "Old Gits" annual canal trips.
