Dear Sheila, you were one of those special people who had a natural flair for everything you did.
In crafting or cooking; gardening or golf; fancy-dress or dancing. You could turn your hand to anything but you excelled even more as a Mum - not only to Sally, Ben and Nicky but to all children who came your way, you encouraged them and delighted in their progress and development.
We will miss you and all the love you brought into the world.

Sheila used to visit me at my small holding in Wiltshire with her sister Valerie and her brother Malcolm, when they were children, in their school holidays. When she started work as a children’s nanny she started writing to my mother (her auntie and me) and this continued through her life writing regularly. When my mother was ill, she came and visited. She also came to my mother’s funeral and stayed a while with me and offered much-appreciated support.
I visited Sheila and her family when she lived in Boston and we had some lovely times visiting the local sites.
In the last few years after I moved to Devon Shelia and her husband and family also came to visit us. I will miss her letters very much and also miss speaking to her on the telephone. She will be much missed.
From Her Cousin Jean.

My sister Sheila, you will be sadly missed, we were always friends as well as sisters, and I will remember the lovely times we spent together, especially the trip to Florida to visit Barbara and family. Also visits to Lincoln to visit you and Jack. Love Valerie x
