Demi Louise Brindley (24 Jun 1993 - 12 Jun 2019)

Demi Louise Brindley, the daughter of Beverley and Martin and loving partner to Matthew has passed away from Ovarian Cancer at the age of 25. Demi grew up around Wrexham and after finishing school at Darland High School and Yale College, Demi opted to enrol onto an accountancy course, instead of pursuing a degree. Demi loved to follow a range of sport and in particular, Formula 1, where she would go to Silverstone with her parents on a yearly basis, to support Lewis Hamilton. After meeting Matthew (behind the bar) at the Pant-yr-Ochain, Demi joined Chester Tennis club for weekly Tennis Lessons and quickly found an additional sport of interest.

Reluctant at first, Demi moved to Fulham in London with Matthew in 2017, but Demi found her feet very quickly and her love for London shone through her newly found confidence. Demi pursued her training to be a Chartered Accountant at a local firm, Warrener Stewart and shortly got acquainted with the local pubs for after work drinks. As always, Demi was a 'people watcher', and she loved the busyness that the city provided. Demi's home was very important to her, and the options of interior designer shops were always at Demi's interest. Demi loved the ease of having everything within a short distance, popping into Fortnum & Mason or her favourite clothes shops, was something Demi instantly got used to.

You would always see Demi at her happiest when she was with her loved ones, laughing, singing along to music and dancing. Family and close friends meant everything to Demi. Demi was shy, but if you befriended her, you would have a true friend that would always look out for you.

After several operations to remove her ovarian cysts in 2016 & 2017, Demi was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in January 2018. Being the selfless person Demi was, she instantly thought about her family around her, instead of herself. Demi’s sheer bravely & spirit was purely inspiring and she threw everything at the disease and later spent her last days surrounded by friends and family at the Royal Trinity Hospice.
