In loving memory of the late Neil Connolly who sadly passed away on 28th March 2015
This page is to celebrate the life of Neil (Con) Connolly who died suddenly in his sleep on Saturday 28th March at the age of 42.
Neil (Peter Caleb) Connolly was a former pupil at All Saints Primary School, Abington Middle School and Guthlaxton College (all in Wigston Magna in Leicestershire) and studied politics at DeMonfort University.
A life-long supporter of both Leicester City F.C. and Leicestershire CCC Neil also followed Celtic & Real Madrid; but his lifelong passion was music.
Neil leaves behind him many friends and a family who will all miss him enormously but has left behind for them a treasury of memories for all of us and a wonderful son, Patrick (aged 7) who possesses many of Neil's most positive qualities.

i remember Neil in a school nativity at All Saints. I believe it was called 'Our Flying Friends' mainly written by Mr Holder. He played a scientist with his friend James I think, who was his assistant Globchic. He was brilliant at it! Would see him in passing over the years and acknowledge each other. Such a shame, what a truly nice guy. RIP Neil

Didn't know Neil, am a friend of his Dad through cricket, but from everything I've read Neil sounds like a great bloke and someone I'd like to have known (and with a pretty good taste in football teams and music).
Heart goes out to his family and friends, and especially his little boy.

It's a short list of people that truly change your life for the better and live on in your memory even if you haven't seen them for years. Con was on my list as one such person. He touched my life in a positive way and was a great friend to me, a truly lovely human being indeed. At times like this, it's common for some to exaggerate and start saying things about people that they never really felt or said when they were still alive. In the case of this wonderful bloke, it just so happens to actually all be true...he was just a great, great guy and that makes it all the sadder. Heart goes out to the ones he's left behind.
Neil, Pook and Mister Con....never forgotten, even though you're gone.
