In loving memory of the late Susan Lesley Rees who sadly passed away on 12th April 2015.

Sue (Mum) was a loving, caring, inspirational woman who always saw the positive in any situation. She was the heartbeat of the family she adored and will be sorely missed.

Feel free to leave a message, share a memory and give a donation to Wirral St John's Hospice who cared for her so well through her final weeks. Sue has asked for family flowers only.

You are warmly welcome to join the family at Peel Hey in Frankby following the service, as well as the Ring O Bells in West Kirby shortly after. Be sure to wear plenty of colour!

To Karen and Family - sending you love and sympathy for the loss of dear and wonderful Suz. I only met her a few times when she came to London but she was a joy and we just connected but then I guess everyone did with Suz. I will have happy memories of drinks on the river on a warm sunny day, much laughter and the songs we sang together.

Knowing Sue was like being in on a secret.
The first time we met on Queens Road, I was nervous and she was comforting. She was inquisitive and knowledgeable and beautiful and warm. Over the years, we bonded over lazy Sundays and girlie trips to the cinema to see Mamma Mia, and chick flicks with Auntie Karen. I remember how we laughed, and how her chortle was always indicative of a good time.
I also remember the sadder times, when life brought massive trials, and Sue had this kind of bold resilience that I had never seen before. There were always good things to be seen, even when it was hard to see them. It could rain for days on end, and we would be sick of it, but she could see beautiful things in a storm. And the second the sun showed even a hint of a glow, she was setting up a table in the garden with a cold bottle of wine and a story to tell.
Every time I happen upon a rose garden or a beautiful view, I will think about Sue and her love for mother nature. And for photography and beauty and crafts. And every time I sing the words wrong, I will think of her and know that it just doesn't matter as long as I'm dancing.
Thank you for showing me so much.

So sorry we never got to go walking together Sue... I shall think of your smiling face when I'm next struggling up a mountain in the pouring rain, and be glad that I knew you, if not as well as I'd have liked to.... X

Dearest Karen, John and the Rees family,
On behalf of your extended family in Sydney, Australia, I wish to convey our shock and deep sorrow at the premature loss of dear Sue.
I had the privilege of meeting Sue in very difficult circumstances two years ago and in those few days in Liverpool, I could not help but endear myself to her charming and caring persona. She came across as an exceptional human being willing to share in everyone's joys and sorrows alike.
Sue will be sadly missed but I will cherish my brief association for a lifetime.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief,
Love
Mona, Raja & the entire family
