In loving memory of the late Augustus "Nelson" Wright who sadly passed away on 4th May 2015

Born in 1930 he was the eldest of 16 children has 8 sisters 3 brothers still alive.
Went to work as a farmer in Guadalupe then went briefly went back to Dominica
Then came to England in 1956
He was married to Mary ? in in the early 60s before
He moved to Nottingham in the 60s, then to back to London before returning back to Nottingham 1971.
Uncle had a allotment from 1972 and was raring chickens with his friend Steven Miller (desist) spending most mornings growing fresh
produce to sell to friends and his own consumption.
He moved into 23 Honeywood Drive with his long term partner Hyacinth and was working on the housing site at the time. He was one of the first people to move onto the estate.
He was a straight talker with very quick wit who didn't mince his words much. A could also come across as hot headed and short if he didn't agree with you.
He did love a drink and was a regular in the Domino teams of the Marcus Garvey centre & the meadows community centre.
Uncle also had a great passion for cars when had a car he would love and cherish it until the car had no more life in it. He also owned a series of motorbikes/scooters and would tell me many a story about his journeys for london to Nottingham in random with his partner wearing no helmets in all kinds of weather.
He also loved his music and his taste ranged from the mighty Sparrow to Jim Reeve and Abba.
He kept very close to those he loved and would alway phone to keep in touch or just for and chat or even rant.
We will all miss you very much uncle.
