It is with sadness to hear of the loss of Phil. A faithful servant in the Lord's service in many ways. Happy memories of community car washes and mowing rotas. More recently joining up with Phil as part of the Gideons in Doncaster. We thank God for Phil and will miss his cheery face around church but in anticipation to see him one day in a better place.

A lovely man and a true Christian. I was particularly touched by his care and concern when helping Mum to sit up for a drink on one of her hospital visits.

A wonderful person, strong in faith, who suffered silently and would help anyone right to the end. An unforgettable "good guy" who is now at home. God bless you Phil .

Uncle Phil

He was simply always there; to help, guide or joke. To me, he was a man who cared dearly about his family and friends, often in the background but always to be relied upon (with all the loud women in the family it was probably the safest place to be).

I have many fond memories such as piling into the back of his red estate car as a child (pre-seat belts), tirelessly helping me decorate my home with perfect wallpapering skills and of course quizzes at parties which I could never do- how did he retain all that knowledge!

Uncle Phil's memories will always leave smiles on our faces and happiness in our hearts.

To a brilliant Grandad who always made me smile. While my early memories of you aren't as strong due to your night shifts at work, I will always remember these last few years spent with you.
Bridlington trips will never quite be the same, and the many other memories we shared. That one parents evening where we talked of your drama days with my Drama teacher (much to my surprise as you sat there reciting Shakespeare) to the unforgettable day at Leeds Armoury, those are the memories that I will cherish and remember. Your sense of humour is another thing I will sorely miss.
Until the next time we meet Grandad

I have fond memories of an older brother who always looked after me and, on more than one occasion, rescued me from pending disaster.

Following, what seems like only a few years living in Doncaster, our lives took different paths when Mum, Dad & I moved away to Coventry but we both found loving partners and families, with many happy moments shared.

Guess we didn’t spend so much time together in recent years and that golf match due to be played when I retired from work has now been deferred.

Thanks for being my big brother and although our ‘Reed’ sense of humour, was not understood by many people, I was always on your wavelength, so please continue to watch over us all who miss you very much.

Your brother, David
