James Thomas also known as 'Jimmy', the beloved soul mate of Julie and devoted father to Beckie, Emily, Amie and James has passed away at the age of 45. Jimmy worked his whole life as landscape gardener, a job which he enjoyed and was very skilled in. He was a passionate Everton supporter and will be 'buzzing' that they have just signed Delefeou. Shopping in local markets and car boot sales he would haggle down to the last penny even if it meant embarrasing his daughters. He loved his grandchildren; Lily-Ann, Kayla, Dylon, Dario and Jamie-lee, especially at christmas because it was an excuse to go out and buy toys (he was a big kid at heart). We know he will be well looked after by his mum and dad in heaven and want to express how much he will be missed by all of us. We love you dad and we will never forget how hard you worked for us and how much you loved us. Goodnight, godbless. xxx

I was about ten years old and won tickets to go see the Everton under 21s play in their cup final. We took a flask of hot tea and a couple of butties. It was the first time we went somewhere and I had you all to myself (no silings allowed). It was freezing but I didnt care I was too excited. You sat me on your shoulders as we watched the blue boys win 2-0. At the end of the match the Everton boys circled the pitch with their trophy and you held me over the barrier so I could touch it. That was the day my love for Everton and football was born. So thankyou xxxx
