Andy Cassidy (11 Jul 1948 - 13 Jul 2015)

In loving memory of Andy Cassidy who sadly passed away on 13th July 2015

In March this year our dad was sadly diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, and was advised he had between 3 weeks and 3 months left with us. In true dad fashion he didn't get upset or get angry he simply asked the doctor if he was now allowed a beer!

Dad took each day in his stride and cherished each day with us, mum, his 3 wonderful grandkids and our fantastic family.

Sadly on Friday 10th July dad was taken into hospital, he made his birthday the following day with us all visiting him with balloons and cards and battling on. We were given the heartbreaking news on the Sunday afternoon dad only had a few hours left with us. As a family 11 of us camped out by his bedside telling stories and remembering daft things our dad had done over the years.

Unfortunately our time with our dad ran out and on Monday 13th July at 0750am, he slipped away.

We will never replace our dad and he will forever be in our hearts and remembered every day for the great man that he was. This page has been created in this remembrance for us to share the good times, leave messages or upload photos of my dad enjoying himself.
