In loving memory of Areti Coccolios who sadly passed away on 7th August 2015 with her son by her side. Now joins her late husband in eternal peace, after a short battle with Cancer.

Areti, who celebrated her 79th birthday just recently, is survived by her three children and six grandchildren. A wonderful, kind and caring person, she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Areti was born on the island of Lefkas, Greece in 1936, was married in 1964 and then moved to Kenya with her husband where they farmed coffee. In 1975 they setup home in the UK and by 1987 were running businesses in both the UK and Kenya. By 2001 they also built a new business in Greece. After her husband passed away she moved back permanently to Europe where she enjoyed travelling and being with her children.

Areti adored children and so we thought it befitting to ask for small donations to the following charities, instead of flowers, if you so wish: The Rainbow Trust (donation link top right) and CDH UK (nicholas.coccolios.muchloved.com). If sending a cheque, please post: c/o Alan Greenwood & Sons Funeral Directors, 1 New Parade, Leatherhead Road, Great Bookham, Surrey KT23 4RL.

A memorial service will also be held in Athens between the 12th and 20th September (date TBC).

I spent a lot of my childhood playing with Emmanuel and remember Areti as being a loving kind lady who always treated me like a member of her family. My thoughts are with you Emmanuel and your sisters, love to you all xx

Kwaheri dear Areti, you will be sorely missed. Ζωη στα παιδια και στα εγγονια σου. You are in a better place now with those loved ones who have gone before..and there are a few..family and friends..old and young. I will never forget your huge smile and your laughter filling the room. We have great memories especially of Mombasa and those precious carefree days we had shared as kids with our parents all together.
