I used to work with Derek when I was a young salesman at Texas Instruments and he was the lead contact for me at STC. I never met a smarter and nicer man in that industry. I remember him telling me of his diagnosis of his illness but I knew it would never stop him from making the most out of his life. I just happen to think about him today and sadly discovered he had recently passed away. My condolences to his family that I know he loved dearly.
