In loving memory of Peter Tomlin who sadly passed away on 21st August 2015

Offline donation: Retiring Collection donated in memory of Peter
Alastair Wilson donated £20 in memory of Peter

Very sad to hear of the premature passing of Peter Tomlin. I went to school with Pete from the age of 5 through to 16, around the age of 12 we got into golf, and became members of Bulwell Forest golf club. So spent a lot of school time in his company and also leisure time.Pete as anyone who knew him would tell you was never dull, always cheerful and good to be around. After school we both worked at the then Trustee Savings Bank before Pete left the Bank in the late 1980's. Lost touch with him at that point until I bumped into him at Stanton on the Wolds golf club on Coronation Foursomes day in 2012. It was good to see him on that day and he was full of enthusiasm that I was about play on his beloved course, which I hasen to add is always one of the best in Nottinghamshire.Unfortunatley I was unable to attend the funeral on 4th September, and would like to send my condolences to Pete's family.

Such a tragedy. Too early my friend. You had so much more to give. We had great fun playing golf, and real banter. I hope you are at peace. I will miss you. Jim

The loss of Pete is extremely sad. I felt very privileged meeting up with Pete on recent trips to the UK from NZ. He was such a lovely gentleman, very kind and caring. Pete, you will missed massively and I am so thankful I got to meet you. RIP xxx

Pete was a good guy, he made so much effort for Stanton-on-the-Wolds golf club, which was one of his true loves. I had the fortune of playing with Pete prior to him becoming too unwell. He was a sociable gent who had a sharp sense of humour and was fun to be around. Outgoing and kind, I will miss him. RIP Pete. Simon Hardwick.
