This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

The attitude of one of the members of staff was poor considering she is working with grieving relatives. I was also given false information when I came to arrange funeral. The other tow members of staff i dealt with were really good.

Lovely service from start to finish from Co-op Funeralcare in Annfield Plain. At a most distressing time you are met with a friendly, caring and professional manner at all times. Pauline and Gary were brilliant and guided us through it all taking a lot of worry from our shoulders. Would highly recommend.

My first contact was with Pauline, she sorted all the paperwork and guided me with true diligence and efficiency. We couldn't of asked for better. Gary and his team treat mum with the decency and respect she deserved. The whole thing flowed and they guided us through a very difficult day. All we can say is thankyou to all of you.

Throughout the build-up and throughout the funeral, the CO-OP were true professionals. They made the process simple, they organised everything, and they made me feel as relaxed as I could be, considering it was my mother”s funeral.
