This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

Personally and emotionally this is one of the hardest times of my life, I really cannot imagine getting through this without their support. From day one the communication was outstanding, support ever present, professionalism and dedication to their roles admirable. I was so impressed by each and everyone of them throughout. Ross was excellent from start to finish.

The reason I dropped one star overall was the placement of the advertising of Coop Funeralcare on the hearse which obscured dad’s coffin and the flowers. It felt undignified and gave me a heart sink moment even before I had to handle my mum’s reaction to it.

However Ross still means I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you
