I have requested the services of the staff at Fountainbridge before, and I have no hesitation in recommending them as they are excellent at what they do from start to finish. Wendy helped us  to arrange everything we needed following the loss of our mother, and nothing was any bother at all. I was nervous on the day of the Service in case I had missed something out but I worried needlessly, as the Service was arranged and handled beautifully and respectfully. I cannot thank Wendy enough for all she did for us. Our sincere gratitude also to Susan, Philip and all the staff at Forrester Park Drive for looking after Mom and their warm welcome and care towards us on our visits to Mom while she was there.

Words cannot express how grateful we were to meet Wendy.  She led us through a very difficult time and made us feel calm and in control.  Everyone involved was respectful, empathetic and beyond helpful which ended in a beautiful send off for our loved one.

From start to finish, Scotmid and ALL of
the staff could not have done any more to make our father’s farewell any more special than it was. My father was well known in Edinburgh so it must have been very difficult for them to arrange what ended up a very public funeral. From Wendy in the office to Christine and the boy’s on the day, everything was done to perfection. To be honest all of the arrangements were  something most could only dream of. Our father could never have imagined the send off he received.  Our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.

I could not fault the professionalism of the staff. They gave my Mum a day she would have been proud of. They made every step of the planning a lot easier. They treated my Mum and our family with dignity and respect and added the special touches. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a loved ones funeral.

They were really nice and listened to everything we wanted and achieved everything we asked for.

However I do find reviewing a funeral a bit inappropriate!!!!

Although Mum had already Pre organised her  funeral I is a daunting thought to put in in place. However every  aspect of this service was excellent. From the minute we visit d Gillian took care of all, with empathy and discretion She Gave us advice on registering the death, flowers etc. Therefore saving us time and further distress at this sadtime.

An excellent service, nothing seemed to be too much trouble and all the stress was taken out of organising, from England, an otherwise complex event delivered in Scotland. Scotmid staff were friendly, compassionate and went the extra mile to make what one of those who attended say 'Yesterday's service was beautiful, simplicity itself.
