The whole process from the start was very smooth and always dealt with care and understanding. There was always an answer to any questions we may of had. We would definitely recommend the services.

So easy to deal with at such a difficult time when my husband had died suddenly. They guide you through the process and remind you of little things you may have forgotten without a 'hard sell' approach. I walked out of the initial meeting feeling much better as 90% of everything was now arranged.
The funeral itself was a completely smooth process, and the celebrant was easy to understand and did us proud with the readings we had written. The music we had chosen sounded lovely and the timings were perfect. Everybody commented on what a great send off it was.

I would definitely recommend Co-operative Funeral Care, Old Harlow for when you are going through this hard process... they help ease the load.

I planned my mum's funeral through the Coop Funeral Care and dealt with Erin Gallagher, and she was very empathic and gentle and made the emotional journey so much easier. This experience with Coop Funeral Care in Harlow wasn't quite so empathic or gentle. It was efficient but lacked the care and attention that Erin offered in droves. I understand that Erin works for the Welwyn Garden City branch now and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services over the Harlow Branch.

A very good service from our local Co Op funeral directors. However, we weren't aware that we weren't having pall bearers as part of our package, and had to scrabble around the day before the funeral to ask family members to do it when we found out. And we had to chase for the link for the on line service. Just a couple of hiccups, otherwise all good.

Arranged direct cremation with them all good with sorting and arranging.  However we were given cremation date of 1st August and told them we would be arranging a family get together for that date (also added to their notes on system) so to be rung on 28th to be told cremation went ok was a shock and my concern that I have no issue if date needed to be changed however to not inform us as a family is disgraceful and shocking and the conversation was very much treated like a business transaction.  Manager rang to apologise but to quote policy again even though I said I have no issue if you need to change date but you should inform family you are doing this.  An investigation was being made as notes clearly state keep as 1st August but surprisingly have heard nothing back from them.  You need to inform family of changes like this as I had to go over to my Mum to explain he had already been cremated which was a big shock when we expected this to happen all on 1st August so we would be together as family and could have dealt with this better. Thanks for lack of compassion on this instance.

The staff were very friendly and helpful,  they treated Joy with care and dignity, listened to our requests and acted on them and helped us to choose the right funeral for mum .

Everything was carried out to our requirements. The only thing I would comment on is that it would have been better for one person to be responsible for dealing with us. At one stage there was some confusion regarding details regarding the order of service and flowers. Jade was very helpful and compassionate.
