I regret using coop funeral care, from the off, the young woman was not Sympathetic just a sales woman, we had to basically say, just a coffin and a car to get my dad there to stop her over dramatic speech what families normally order, I said my dad was not ordinary he is extraordinary, and politely declined her sales pitch, a day before the funeral, the shop was shut, I had no chance of getting hold of my funeral director, at the funeral, 2 tall men and 2 short woman pall bearers carried my dad in, or should I say as the woman was at the front, it looked my dad was walking to his own funeral, this disturbed members of our family, the rest went with out a hitch, until after, I asked to collect my dads ashes and the gentleman said he will arrange this, nearly a month after I asked the Crem what was happening…they  apologized and arranged a day for me to collect him, now it’s time to pay the balance, I called the shop 6 times, 5 times, I was transferred to central care who said the funeral director will contact me back, so I waited, yet another call and was told the same, till I said  NO ENOUGH I needed to talk to the director to see what the balance was,(Insurance involved) seen as I could not do this for trying , I then got a letter from “credit control” I rang them straight away and spoke to a lovely woman who sorted all my frustrations out and apologized she knew I should not have had all this trouble while grieving my father. Now this is all done I can start to heal

Poor service from the start, we had one day & the morning of the funeral to view my fathers body.
The celebrant was very good. The funeral director on the day was changed but Andy did a good job on the day.

Good evening,
On behalf of Elsie James, She was very pleased indeed with the whole way that the Funeral was handled especially Dannielle at the Co-op who handled the whole arrangements very well indeed.



On the daythe Hearse and the Limo arrived well in time with Amanda ? and the service was brilliantly handled by Paul.
All in all a well arranged affair, although of course sad it was a CELEBRATION OF ERIC JAMES LIFE. Thank you. David Littleton.

We arrived at the funeral directors the lady was kind. It was unfortunate that we were not in a private room to discuss the details.  As as we were talking the chaps who deal with the actual funerals came and discussed things with the lady we were talking to without apologising  to us.  We both found this very rude. Also the lady went and open the locked door to have a incidental conversation with a former colleague, while we had to wait until they finished there chat again very rude. Surely it is a curtesy to not keep us waiting and just say sorry not able to chat. 
Gary King was so professional and made me feel so much more confident when he came to my home to discuss my Uncle Dereks funeral. I felt that the funeral would be what uncle Derek would have wanted. He gave an excellent service. 
The gentlemen driving us to and from the funeral did a good job at that time.

Having never had to arrange a funeral before the team at the co-op were excellent. Very compassion and caring, nothing was an issue. On the day itself everything went perfectly. Would highly recommend.
