Very helpful and understanding at such a difficult time

Linda Edmonds 16th May 2022

From start to finish the process was excellent. I rang on the morning Pete died, before he had,to enquire about what to do in the event. I was given contact numbers to ring and was told all our needs would be met. He died later that night. We were treated with compassion on the phone and in person when the personnel arrived to take him to the care centre. The staff in the New Malden Funeralcare were brilliant in looking after us, including our dog. Everything was explained and we were treated as if we were the only ones going through this process. Pete was looked after well and our requests for him were met with compassion. The staff in the background did a beautiful job, making Pete look comfortable, using a cushion we'd asked to be kept with him and dressing him in his clothes. It made him look so like he was before he was ill, that he looked like he was sleeping. On the day of the funeral we were surprised and choked to see Darren walking Pete down the road to our house and then from ours, once in the car. He was deferential to our needs. At the crematorium he enabled us to walk Pete to the chapel and assisted the 2 grandchildren to pall bear Pete into the chapel. We cannot fault him or his colleagues in any of this. They then took us back to the wake venue together with our tributes. I would highly recommend the services of New Makden Funeralcare in the future.

We went to the co-op because they had been so caring when my Dad died in 2001 and now we have used them again for my Mum and I would highly recommend them.
Julie and Rachel couldn’t  be more helpful and caring.
They keep you up to date with everything that’s happening and are always there to help you and check on how you are getting on.
When they say they are there for you they really do mean it.

Even though illness , staff shortages , and covid meant that 6 coop funeral parlours were closed New Malden remained open to deal with all the calls and business. Being Xmas time the two ladies in the New Malden office were especially pressed but managed to remain calm, kind and helpful throughout our meeting. Excellent professional people who dealt with our requirements with great sensitivity.

  • 5 Caroline Gupta 24th Jan 2022

Exceptional service from the initial contact with Julie through to the meeting with Rachel. Sensitive, kind and hugely reassuring, they removed all stress and pressure and made a difficult process as easy as possible. An inspired choice of celebrant in Joanna Adam, who struck exactly the right note and was ever patient. Superb job from funeral director Darren who was kind, respectful and efficient. The service was flawless from start to finish, really cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you all.
