Lovely from the off set, caring courteous throughout from the 1st meeting to the funeral itself. There was a little confusion is respect to carrying the coffin and the funeral director seemed a little miffed when I spoke with him but other than that I cannot fault the service
Started by Andy Askew in the early 1990’s, this funeral home was incorporated into the A W Lymn group in September 2004.
Andy has remained as a funeral director at A W Lymn and has conducted many of the funerals in Shirebrook, becoming very well known in the community. Nowadays, Andy is based in our Mansfield Woodhouse branch, so Jackie Potter currently arranges most funerals at Shirebrook.
Jackie can assist you Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and also in after-office hours by appointment.
The branch features private parking, visiting rooms, a reception area, family rooms and cold room facilities.
The office covers all of Shirebrook and its surrounding areas including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.
Matthew, Jackie and Nigel Lymn Rose currently manage A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this generally positive review of the services provided by Jackie and I. I am sorry that when I did the pre-funeral check I gave the impression that I was ‘miffed’ when the family bearers were mentioned.
It was purely that I was caught off guard as I did not have the information about this in front of me at the time of making the call, and certainly was not a problem to me as we would always accommodate a family’s wishes in this and other regards. I am glad that all the other aspects of the funeral were as you wanted and if I can be of any further help please do not hesitate to contact Jackie or myself at the Shirebrook office. From start to finish the experience was as good as it could be given the circumstances. Such a professional and thoughtful service and made each decision as easy as possible. Jackie at the Shirebrook branch was really helpful and supportive. We had a difficult situation in terms of organising paperwork for registration of my auntie's death as I live 200 miles away, but her calm advice meant that I could get everything done before having to return to Hampshire. The funeral itself was calm and beautiful, everyone appreciated how it was put together.

From picking mum's casket to the funeral day lymms did a fantastic job for mum's send off . Plus asking to change bits on the service book to additional pictures we as a family can't fault you at all.

What can I say except thank you. Thank you to everyone at A.W Lymn Shirebrook. Our family felt so much care and empathy from the first contact right up until the funeral was over. Nothing was too much trouble. Jackie in the office went above and beyond ensuring mums wishes were met. She was absolutely amazing and everything she did for us was fantastic. A truly lovely lady with empathy a d understanding.
The gentlemen that were there on the day of the funeral, Andy and his drivers/pall bearers, wow, what a fantastic lot they are, they all treat us like family, like royalty! They were out of this world that day and ensured the whole family were ok. I cannot thank any of you enough, especially the way you helped my children through one of the hardest days of their lives.
I cannot reccomend your service enough. 10 out of 10 and more in my opinion .
Once again, from the bottom of our hearts, Thank you, all of you. You did my beautiful mum proud and we will be forever grateful for that.
