St. Albans House, situated in Arnold, was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford, the president of the National Association of Funeral Directors at the time, and extended during late 2012. It is now run by Russell Kemp who has a very good knowledge of Arnold’s people, ministers, churches and customs. Russell gained his Diploma qualification with the National Association of Funeral Directors and is assisted by our funeral arranger Jessica Raynor. Beryl Spencer and Jodie Ruth are the receptionists / administrators.
A.W. Lymn's Arnold branch features a parking area, reception, two private reception rooms, two visitation rooms and also a visitation suite with an adjoining room where the family can spend time in private. There are also cold room facilities and a small memorial showroom.
Russell, Jessica, Beryl and Jodie will be more than pleased to offer any assistance you require, whether this is ’at need’, or simply an enquiry for the future. The funeral home is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. All A.W. Lymn funeral homes are also open at any time by appointment and the telephone line is available every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
This branch covers all of Arnold and the surrounding areas including Calverton, Daybrook, Epperstone, Killisick, Lambley, Lowdham, Oxton, Redhill, Woodthorpe and beyond.
A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed by Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose, who are keeping the family tradition in providing the best service for bereaved families since 1907.

They did everything for me to make my husband's funeral go smoothly and respectively.
Everyone I spoke to was very polite, discreet and courteous from their Receptionist to the Funeral Director Russell.

I am sorry that the Covid19 restrictions limited the number that could be in St Swithun’s church and as such many did not hear the lovely service and in particular the fabulous eulogy. Mum’s funeral was arranged at short notice in uncertain times. Throughout, Ellie who organised things for us was friendly and understanding whilst very efficient. She coped well with our several changes of plan.
The Team on the day we’re brilliant and really helped us through our sad times.

Russ and all the staff at A.W.Lymn Arnold were very professional, kind and compassionate. We were very impressed by how quickly the Order of Service was produced and to a high standard. On the day of the funeral Russ and his team made sure everything went smoothly and to plan.
