In loving memory of Sheila Yorke who sadly passed away on 23rd February 2016.

The Princess Alice Hospice is a very special charity which provides outstanding end of life care to adult patients, and support to their families and friends. The place itself is comfortable, peaceful and the perfect sanctuary for patients and families. As a leading UK Hospice, learning, teaching and research are also central to their work, and they deliver innovative care programmes to both local and national audiences. Fundraising and community support are also important to their continued work as a charity.

The care that our mum was given towards the end of her life, while staying in the hospice was superb. Her physical pain was treated in the best possible way, her emotional pain, with understanding and love. Every family member was cared for too. From practical help which allowed both of us to stay with her, to bereavement support for her grandchildren. The staff went above and beyond for our mum and all the people around her.

It is very easy to see why this charity remains close to so many people’s hearts.

In memory of our very brave mum, Sheila Yorke, we would like to support this charity. Many thanks to everyone for their kindness and support.

So sad to lose our dear friend Shelia. So many happy memories not just as " teenagers" but also as "oldies", In particular our cruise to the Fjords two years ago so much fun and so much laughter and those gin and tonics left at our cabin door. Rest in peace you will never be forgotten.
