A top fella who will be greatly missed. I had the pleasure of meeting Martin years ago when I first broke into the Leicester city team as a fresh faced young boy, After my debut Martin joked as I left the stadium.. I looked 12yrs old, haha, and this started us both on a path of banter that we enjoyed for the next 15yrs, only stopping the day he sadly passed away, he wrote a heart felt message to me, saying he had enjoyed our exchanges over the years and he thought I was a good guy, which makes me immensely proud that a nice fella like Martin thought so highly of me and I wish I had the time to of expressed how highly I thought of him, he will be missed greatly, especially the banter. RIP Mart (fatoldandbearded) no abuse, that was his Twitter handle haha.. Come on, you can tell the man had banter. God Bless x Matt piper

I had never personally met Martin but had many conversations with him through Twitter. He was always such a jovial gentleman and loved having banter..with me and everyone else he spoke with, especially the footballers he had formed great friendships with! I was sad to hear of his passing and know that he will be greatly missed by people that knew him and whose lives he touched. RIP Martin x
