Goodbye Grandpa

Linda recalls that when she was a member of Bohunt Manor Golf Club, Fred was a real old school gentleman to the lady members& was clearly appreciated. I will personally miss his involvements & banter at our roll-ups in the week.

I am very sorry for all your family. Fred was a good friend to me & is very much missed. I intend to remember the good times we had both at golf & at the races, although we were not that successful at either.

I was saddened by the news of Fred’s passing. We will all miss his companionship at the “wrinklies” Wed & Friday roll ups. My heartfelt condolences to all the Ireland family.

My sincere condolences following the very sad news of Fred.
What a lovely man he was, always had a smile on his face when I met him & had a chat about the huge bets he had on the horses, he will be sorely missed. I will have to keep the Asbach flowing in the club in his memory.

Fred will be sadly missed, but I’m sure his spirit will carry on in Bohunt Manor Golf Club. My thoughts are with his family.

Freddie was a true gentleman & we will all miss him, I send my love & best wishes to all of his family.

Hi Team, Awesome result on a very emotional day. So proud of you all for getting the job done. I think darling Fred was the extra player today. I can’t praise you enough for your efforts Ian & like the rest of your team, so happy you brought your point home, Fred would have been / is very proud of you.

As one of the boys i am deeply saddened that i have lost such a close friend. Fred has given such enormous pleasure to all who had the privilege to know him. My most sincere condolences to all of his family.

God saw him getting tired,
and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around him
and whispered,
"Come to me."

With tearful eyes
we watched him suffer, and
saw him slowly fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
we could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands put to rest,
God broke our hearts
to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

I was very sorry to hear the news about Fred. I only recently had the pleasure of meeting him when I became a member of Bohunt Manor Golf Club but fully understand why he was so well liked by his friends and colleagues.

I will be out of the country at the time of Fred's funeral and I would like to offer my best wishes to all Fred's family.
