In loving memory of Christina McWilliams who sadly passed away on 22nd June 2017.
A life truly lived. Born in Belfast in 1935, one of nine children. Lived in a 2 up, 2 down with many happy memories. Evacuated to Lurgan as a child. Lost her mother at the young age of 8 in 1944 and being the youngest girl was raised by her older sisters.
Left school at 14 which started her working career in various roles.
Met and married Matthew and had 3 children. Moved to Birmingham for a better life in 1974 and lost her father shortly after.
Alongside working several jobs, Nan actively helped to raise her 14 grandchildren and subsequent 11 great grandchildren. As a close knit family, Nan enjoyed holidays, whether home or abroad and special nights out together.
Nan was the life and soul of every party and could often be found on the dance floor, usually outstaying younger family members. Nights in with her brothers and sisters reminiscing of the past would bring joy to all who were there. Telling stories and jokes until the wee hours.
An abrupt end to a wonderful life. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and we are forever grateful for the memories we keep.
Farewell Nan. R.I.P xx
